Tennessee man assaults girlfriend for having an affair because of a picture of Mitt Romney on her computer
By Alex Hern Published 01 August 2012When Lowell Turpin of Clinton Kentucky saw a picture of a man he didn't recognise on his live-in girlfriend's Facebook page, he thought it confirmed his fears that she was having an affair. When he demanded to know who the man was, his girlfriend told him: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
The Knoxville Sentinel writes:
Upset at the woman's "attempting to communicate with friends through her Facebook account," Turpin jerked her laptop computer from her grasp, smashed the machine into a wall, and then hit her in the face with his fist, according to reports.
