Pink Paper 's cutting edge blunted

I was amused to read Alistair Pegg's remark that the Pink Paper was at the "cutting edge of gay journalism" (Letters, 19 February) because it was the first to report the "shenanigans" behind Channel 4's rent-boy documentary. The story was, in fact, broken by Matthew Parris in his Radio 5 Live series, Parris on TV.

The Pink Paper compiled its report from a publicity tape of Parris on TV, sent to them in advance of broadcast. Cutting-edge journalism has never been so easy.
