On 21 February the Smith Institute, with the support of the Prudential Group plc, convened a round-table discussion following the first report of the Pensions Commission. Representatives from the pensions industry, politicians, policy advisers, commentators and members of the Pensions Commission debated the neglected issue of how exactly the risks involved in pensions should be shared between government, employers, the financial services and individuals.
