Media: The multi-platform age
"This industry is about the very fabric of our democracy - how we talk to ourselves and how we talk to the world." The words of Tom McNally, leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords, in the NS roundtable discussion, accurately convey the importance of our constantly evolving broadcasting media. One might question the appropriateness of that word, “our”: obviously, much media today can hardly be said to belong to one country or another. Cyberspace is an international zone, representing either a liberation of communication or a dangerously underpoliced world, according to taste.
