Letters - Mind your language

Far from being "Anglo-Irish", the only thing Anglo about the American-born Irishman William Joyce (The Back Half, 26 August) was that the British hanged him. In the same article, William Cook refers to the Germans as "the Bosch", perhaps meaning (in French) "les Boches", or perhaps Hieronymus Bosch, the Dutch painter. Or possibly - some implied criticism here - the bosh.
