Uncritical moment

It borders on the incredible that you were unable to find a more critical reviewer (Books, 27 September) of Peter Hitchens' The Abolition of Britain than John Colvin (who adds some prejudices of his own). However, he describes enough of Hitchens' assertions to demonstrate their grotesque irrationality. From Trotskyism to Toryism is an apt encapsulation, though somewhat of an unfair comment on at least some aspects of the latter.
