Warning: spinning wheels

I am delighted that Derek Draper has "got on his bike" and is finding it the quickest and easiest way to get around London (Diary, 16 August), which it most surely is. The London Cycling Campaign would be delighted to welcome him as a member to help us with our ongoing campaign to improve London for everyone by increasing cycling throughout the capital.

In order to help him navigate his way around, we could also offer him one of our excellent cycle-route maps, showing implemented and advised cycle routes.

In answer to his question, a black cycle on a white background surrounded by a red triangle is a warning to road users that there are cyclists in the area.
