The Nominations for the 2008 New Media Awards are open.

Making a nomination is simple and shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. But, before making a nomination you should take a look at our rules and tips pages.

Democracy in action

This award will recognise the use of new media technology to improve democracy in Britain

Inform and educate

This category recognises new media projects that provide an alternative, educational or informative voice that promotes democratic debate.

Community activism

The winner of this category will provide tools for their community to join together, communicate and find information.

Campaign for change

The campaign for change award will go to the individual or organisation that has most effectively influenced opinions and behaviour through the use of new media technology

Innovation

The innovation award recognises social technologies, people or organisations that make an impact and improve our society through the use of new media technology.
