Common Knowledge promotes the digital inclusion of people with learning difficulties.
Common Knowledge have developed a learning portal for people with learning difficulties which offers a range of opportunities for example:-
The Meeting Place an online community tool that allows people with learning difficulties to generate their own web pages and to message each other;
CKCyber - an online magazine for people with learning difficulties sharing their news and views; and
Learn with CK - Innovative learning around subjects that are taboo for people with learning difficulties, such as sexual health, death and loss.
Until the development of the Common Knowledge (CKUK) website, there were no websites of this kind for people with learning difficulties. No other site facilitates access to internet technology in the same way. Prior to the development of this site, there was no vehicle that would allow people with a learning difficulty to learn online in an independent way.
