Working 4 an MP
Fiona Lees
A site that affords individuals the opportunity to access information that might not be so easily accessible in any other media form D Green
This is an exellent site with a vast pool of information for people who work for an MP. For a new employee the information is invaluable covering everything they need to know including survival tips, essential tools, and "the knowledge". It is equally useful for the more experienced staff. Subjects include personnel information, news, training and guides. It even has a section on Political Blogs (and other frippery, very useful for easing tension in a very stressful job. Shirley-Anne Weir SHirley-Anne Weir
This site enables MP's staff to network Nationally. It provides helpful advice and allows access to the pool of knowledge that staff around the country have. Staff can benefit from others experiences, it saves time and effort and reduces duplication of research among users. As most MPs only have two or three staff members they cannot be expected to be experts in every field that thier casework might bring them. This website helps them access others specialist knowledge in many fields. This means that end users like me get a better chance of getting access to expert advice than would otherwise be the case. This site is first-rate for finding information about how to do caseworks, not just for MP's but for other agencies as well. The layout is easy to follow and the site is well written. It also has the resource to ask a question, which is really useful and beneficial, especially to new staff members. Isla
