Sunday Times hits back over Guardian blagging claims
The newspaper hits back at allegations it illegally obtained information about Gordon Brown.
By Press Gazette Published 13 July 2011
The Sunday Times has responded to allegations that it used 'blagging' techniques to find out details of Gordon Brown's Building Society account and property dealings.
The Guardian reported yesterday that an agent working on behalf of the Sunday Times tricked staff at a law firm to hand over details of Brown's private file. And it also alleged that in 2000 someone acting on behalf of the paper posed as Brown to trick staff at an Abbey National call centre into revealing details of his bank account.

In one aspect, it's silly for the MSM to ask can a mobile be hacked. They know perfectly well that anything can be hacked. Just ask the 5,000 in the U.K. that got hacked.
What's the key to get information on someone? Their phone number. Why? Because so many databases are interconnected. In one day I could literally find out almost everything about someone just from their phone number.
