National ABCs: Mail on Sunday only paper up in May

Newspaper circulation falls for almost every leading title

The Daily Star saw its circulation fall 14.7 per cent in May, according to the latest ABC figures, while the Mail on Sunday was the only national that didn't go down in numbers.

The only other national title that had a worse performance was Scotland's Sunday Herald - despite becoming the first newspaper to identify Ryan Giggs as the footballer at the centre of a privacy row, circulation still fell 23.6 per cent.

The only paper that saw an increase in circulation year on year last month - albeit one of just 0.01 per cent - was the Mail on Sunday.
