Associated Newspapers shuffles three executives

Owner of Mail and Metro completes overhaul of top personnel

Associated Newspapers, owner of the Daily Mail and Metro, has reshuffled three executives, The Guardian reports.

The group has promoted Ted Verity, joint associate editor at the Daily Mail, as deputy editor of the Mail on Sunday. Verity will replace Eric Bailey, who is being sent to Dublin as editor-in-chief of the Mail and Mail on Sunday Irish editions.

Paul Field, who has been running the Irish operation since 2008, after Verity went on to become joint associate editor, is to move into Verity's current slot. Another joint editor, Paul Carter will continue in his post.
