Manawatu Standard editor awarded top print industry fellowship

The New Zealand newspaper Manawatu Standards' editor, Michael Cummings, has been awarded a top print

This fellowship is supported by the British High Commission in Wellington and Air New Zealand.

Cummings will take up the fellowship at Cardiff University School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, UK in April. His studies will include newsroom management in the growing digital age and press freedom issues.

The award, titled Air New Zealand/British High Commission Print Journalism Fellowship to the UK is open to all working journalists employed by the NPA's member daily and Sunday newspapers and the New Zealand Press Association.
