A parliamentary report has accused NI's News of the World (NoW) of hacking phones on an "industrial scale."
Reports state that some senior executives at News of the World were not truthful about the extent of hacking that included the phones of police, military royals and government ministers.
MPs lashed out at NoW executives for their "collective amnesia" and "deliberate obfuscation" while giving evidence.
Culture secretary Ben Bradshaw said the report raised "extremely serious questions" about the media organisation.
The parliamentary report found NI guilty of collusion in lawbreaking, he pointed out.
