I'd like to add that although I didn't study with noSWEAT I was indeed ripped off by them. In fact they owe me £500 for a deposit which was taken from my account after I made clear that I couldn't take the course. The director repeatedly promised to pay it back but it was never returned. Now that they are going into liquidation this money is likely to be impossible to get back.
I think it's important to be clear that they closed not because of the recession but because the NCTJ stopped accrediting No Sweat's courses a few months ago, because they did not meet standards. Students had been complaining to the NCTJ for years that they were being ripped off and that they'd seen some highly dubious management and financial practices. The NCTJ finally listened, though I don't know what took them so long.
