Charlton named combined editor of Yorkshire dailies

Johnston Press announced it was combining the editorial roles two weeks ago.

Peter Charlton has been appointed to the combined editorship of the Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post.
 
The Yorkshire Post editor was placed on leave two weeks ago when Johnston announced it was combining the roles.
 
From 7 May Charlton will take on the role of editorial director for Yorkshire Post Newspapers Limited, with responsibility for both Yorkshire dailies.
