Bobby Davro to sue News International over phone-hacking

Comedian joins new wave of litigants to file claims.

Comedian Bobby Davro and his former wife Trudi have become the latest celebrities to sue the former publisher of the News of the World over alleged phone-hacking.

Davro, who is suing under his real name Robert Nankeville, filed a civil action at the London High Court last week. They are demanding damages from News International subsidiary News Group Newspapers and ex-News of the World private investigator Glenn Mulcaire.

In the early 2000s, Davro and his ex-wife Trudi, a former model, were under intense tabloid scrutiny. The pair divorced in 2004.

They are the latest in a new batch of civil litigants to file claims against Rupert Murdoch's UK newspaper group. They include Chrie Blair, Jamie Theakston, Chris Eubank, and Peter Crouch.

Mark Lewis, who is the solicitor for several alleged phone-hacking victims, said that News Groups Newspapers could face up to 100 new lawsuits.

News International has already settled with more than 50 phone-hacking victims, including the parents of murdered schoolgirl Millie Dowler, Charlotte Church, Jude Law, and John Prescott.

This is quite a good article. Many new questions emerge to the surface, all you need do is to read further information about the issues. Only then one can form a final view on a particular subject. Otherwise everything is seen only in the dimension of cum more black and white.
