Journalists killed during Syrian attack on Homs

Two journalists died and a photographer was injured.

Two Western journalists are understood to have been killed during shelling by Syrian security forces in the city of Homs.

According to Al Jazeera, the journalists are an an American and a French national. A photographer was also injured in the attack, The Times reports.

Reuters identified them as Marie Colvin, the veteran Sunday Times foreign correspondent, and the French photgrapher Remi Ochlik. The Times is also running this report but notes there is no official confirmation.
