Ashton Kutcher came out against Star Magazine on Twitter, after it published a report accusing the actor of cheating on his wife Demi Moore.

The magazine, in an "exclusive report," alleged that Kutcher had been found in the company of a young blonde woman on Wednesday. "Ashton had this gorgeous girl pinned against the wall, and he was totally making out with her," said a source quoted in the article.

Within a short time of the report circulating on the web, Kutcher posted several tweets on his account in response. "STAR magazine - you don't get to stand behind 'freedom of the press' when you are writing fiction," wrote the actor.

"I think Star magazine calling me a 'cheater' qualifies as defamation of character," he added. "I hope my lawyer agrees."

Moore joined her husband by posting on her own Twitter account in reply, "Excellent point my love!"

The US tabloid says it stands by its story.
