The Top 10 actors turned politician
Ten actors who went to have careers in elected politics (who aren't Arnold Schwarzenegger or Ronald Reagan).
By Caroline Crampton Published 14 July 2010
Turning to politics after a successful acting career has become really quite commonplace. But beyond the famous examples of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and 40th US President Ronald Reagan, who are the actors who make the transition to the political arena?
It's a broad list, from Helen Gahagan Douglas, the 1940s Congresswoman who fought Richard Nixon for a Senate seat, to Joseph Estrada, former president of the Philippines and star of over 100 films.
Obviously, this is a limited selection, so feel free to post further suggestions in the comments.
