New Scientist editor leaves to take up comms role

Roger Highfield steps down after three years at the magazine

Roger Highfield is stepping down after three years as editor of the New Scientist to become director of external affairs at the National Museum of Science and Industry.

Highfield plans to continue to write books and columns.

Highfield joined the New Scientist after 20 years at the Daily Telegraph where he had been science editor.
