Business publisher United Business Media has promoted a number of senior editorial staff on its Property Week title, including promoting editor Giles Barrie to editor-in-chief.

Barrie will maintain responsibility for content across Property Week titles while assuming control of overall strategy.

Deputy editor James Whitmore has been promoted to executive editor to take greater responsibility for the title's markets and professional sections. He will continue to write and edit Property Week's finance section.
