Time promotes Stephanie George, Paul Caine to revamp ad sales and marketing

Promotions were aimed at revamping the company's advertisement sales and marketing departments

In a significant move since taking over as the chief executive of Time Inc three months ago, Jack Griffin has promoted Stephanie George to the position of executive vice-president (EVP) and chief marketing officer, while Paul Caine has been named EVP and chief revenue officer.

Griffin said the promotions were aimed at revamping the company's advertisement sales and marketing departments, speeding decision-making and creating clearer lines of authority.

Presently, Caine is president of the Style and Entertainment Group, which includes People, InStyle and Entertainment Weekly magazines. In his new role, he will oversee corporate sales, with Leslie Picard and Kirk McDonald reporting to him. He will keep his existing title as well.

In her new role, Stephanie will be spearheading a series of initiatives designed to expand Time Inc's marketing services capabilities. She will continue to oversee the company's strategic partnership with American Express Publishing, where she is a board member.

Both Caine and Stephanie will continue reporting to Griffin.
