Men's Health magazine launches new app that helps select restaurant food options

Apple-only app compares menu options and tells users which is healthiest

To capitalise on its popular "Eat This, Not That!" franchise, Men's Health magazine has launched an app specifically for Apple devices -- "Eat This, Not That! Restaurants."

The app compares food options at restaurants and explains which is the healthiest. The other innovative features of the iPad app include calorie tracking for more than 13,000 menu items and 10,000 grocery products and nutritional grades for more than 13,000 menu items.

It also features personalised weight-loss plans, a weight tracker, a comparison chart, and a game challenging players to choose the better food.

Men's Health editor-in-chief David Zinczenko and writer Matt Goulding had launched the "Eat This, Not That!" book series in 2007, which now includes 10 titles.
The ETNT Restaurants app is available for $7.99 on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.
