Stuart Williams has been promoted to the newly created role of managing director of live events and strategic partnerships at Bauer Media in a bid to establish deeper strategic partnerships with the entertainment industry.

Williams currently works on Empire, Q, Mojo and Kerrang! as managing director of Bauer Media's music and film division, and he has been in this capacity since the past eight years. He will take up his new role from January 2011.

Bauer Media will effect a number of changes internally with regard to the roles and responsibilities of its senior directors. Sophie Wybrew-Bond, the newly promoted managing director of Bauer Media's women's entertainment division, will take on the additional publishing responsibility of Empire. Currently she is in-charge of Heat and Closer magazines.

Jo Morell, managing director of lifestyle, will be handed over publishing responsibility for Q, Mojo and Kerrang! Rimi Atwal, publisher for Yours, Top Sante and Parenting, will be made publishing director of Q, Mojo and Kerrang! and she will work under Jo Morell.

Wybrew-Bond and Morell, in turn, will report to Paul Keenan, chief executive of Bauer Media.
Williams will create new music and film event initiatives for Bauer Media from next year and target larger-scale branded events, such as music festivals.
Williams will also report to Paul Keenan.
