Airline Business magazine gets new editor

Max Kingsley-Jones takes over from Mark Pilling

The Flightglobal publishing group has named Max Kingsley-Jones new editor of its airline boardroom magazine Airline Business.

Kingsley-Jones succeeds Mark Pilling, who has been promoted to the position of publisher at Flightglobal publications.

Kingsley-Jones' most recent stint was as the senior international air transport editor of Aviation Week. Prior to that, he was deputy editor of Flight International. He had been with the publication for 15 years, initially as its commercial aviation editor and was later promoted to the position of deputy editor in 2007.

As the editor of Airline Business, Kingsley-Jones' responsibilities comprise a range of initiatives, including dailies, online, video, events, interactive magazines and other 21st century publishing activities.

Similarly, in his new post of publisher, Pilling will be responsible for Flightglobal's magazine business encompassing Airline Business, Flight International, Flight Daily News and JP publications.
