Bauer Media has today launched a one-off pilot issue of its new men's magazine Gaz7etta.
More than half-a-million copies of the 60-page sampler are being distributed for free through the publisher's other magazines - including Q, Mojo, Empire, Car Golf World and Grazia - and shops including Harrods, Reiss, Top Man.
Bauer is targeting upscale 30-something men with the magazine which is a 50/50 split between news and lifestyle pages. The magazine is also being distributed by hand with free newspaper's City AM and Metro.
The launch issues features Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini on the cover and carries editorial on Daniel Craig's reported threat to quit Bond, Apple's intentions towards Facebook and Boris Johnson's latest domestic issues.
There are also exclusive interviews with Marco Pierre White and Edinburgh Festival winner Russ Kane, a feature on the Saatchi Brothers, and an in-depth look at Eco sports cars and how to make money out of the Spending Review.
Bauer announced earlier this month that it was planning to trial a new title - codenamed Project Rex - with Andrew Pemberton, the former editor of Q and US magazines Spin and Blender, editing the new venture.
The sampler issue has been supported by advertisers including BMW, Moschino, Harrods, Calvin Klein, Tag Heuer and Galliano and has seen contributions from a strong cast of journalists; including Stephen Armstrong, James Brown, Jim Shelley, Daniel Finklestein, Dermot O' Leary, Gary Gibbon, Patrick Collins, James Richardson, Polly Vernon and Grace Dent.
