Former Fortune editor appointed Time Warner VP

Richard Siklos to also advise the company on media matters.

Richard Siklos, former editor-at-large at Fortune magazine, has been named vice-president of corporate affairs at Time Warner.

Siklos, who will handle internal and external written communication, will also advise Time Warner on media matters. He will report to the Gary Ginsberg, the company's executive vice-president for corporate affairs and marketing.

Winner of the 2009 National Entertainment Journalism Award and several other press awards in the US, Siklos was the founding chief editor of Inside Magazine.

Prior to joining Fortune in 2007, he worked as a media correspondent for the New York Times and was media editor of Business Week.

Ginsberg was reported describing Siklos as one "among the very best journalists to cover the media industry over the past 15 years," and whose knowledge of the business, strategic thinking and writing style were "tremendous assets" to Time Warner.
