James Caan behind new monthly business mag
Dragons' Den star describes magazine as "Grazia meets the Economist".
Star of BBC TV show Dragons' Den is James Caan is backing the launch of a new monthly business magazine called The Market.
The new title was due to be available at newsstands across the UK this week. It has a print-run of 40,000 which includes a controlled circulation postal distribution of 5,000 to "entrepreneurs and business people".
It is also be being distributed to members of the Entrepreneurs' Business Academy - which is also supplying some of the content.
Amanda Morreale is the publishing and editorial director of the title and Christelle Villanueva is the publishing manager.
In addition to Caan providing support and expertise, the new title has financial backing from an unnamed publishing house.
In a press release, the publishers describe the new title as "Grazia meets the Economist" and say it is aimed at "people who want a magazine that has substance and serious content, but is a great read, looks stylish and is not overcomplicated with jargon".
They said: "The Market is for people who seek unbiased, intelligent advice on the issues that affect us all in finance and business. It is for people who want tangible and enlightening guidance on all major areas of investment."
An interview with Caan leads the first issue and the December edition will feature an interview with Jade Jagger, in which she talks about her jewellery and fashion business.
The new title is also being distributed in First Class airport lounges and in-flight on "executive airlines".
It is priced £3.75 an issue, or £18 a year to subscribers.
