Iconic US men's magazine Playboy will bring out a book featuring about 300 of its noted covers since its launch in 1953.
'Playboy's Greatest Covers' will be published by Barnes & Noble and will hit bookstores in October next year, industry news source Folio reports.
The book will include editorial information on particular covers as well as a forward written by actress and Playboy model Pamela Anderson.
Playboy said the high-end coffee table book has been in development for about three years, under managing editor Lee Froehlich.
The magazine, which has distinguished itself with a mix of high literary content and pornography, saw its circulation peak at 7.2 million in 1972. It has seen a decline in revenues in recent years following the rise of the internet and increased competition.
Playboy has a circulation of more than 1.6 million for the first half of the year, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
