BBC Magazines plans to launch its international bi-weekly BBC Knowledge Magazine in the UK in October, Media Week reports.
The international edition of the magazine was launched in the US and Canada in 2008, and has since been licensed to Brazil, Singapore, Bulgaria and Malaysia.
According to publisher Andrew Davies, the 100-page glossy is an "amalgamation" of content from BBC History Magazine, Focus and BBC Wildlife Magazine.
"We re-purpose the content [from the three titles] and add to it," said Davies, noting that the magazine was aimed at readers who are general in their interest and would not "necessarily buy any of the other three specialist titles."
The UK edition of BBC Knowledge Magazine will be overseen by Paul McGuinness, the editor of the US edition - whose editorial team is based in Bristol, adds the report.
A year's subscription to the title will cost £19.99 and a limited number of issues, priced at £3.99, will be made available at select WHSmith stores starting 13 October.
The magazine will also be published in India from November this year.
