Gershon Portnoi named new deputy editor for Shortlist

Former deputy editor of Talksport magazine has the necessary "passion, drive and talent" to improve

Weekly free men's magazine Shortlist has appointed Gershon Portnoi as its new deputy editor.

The former deputy editor of Talksport magazine and author of Ten Years of Talksport joined the magazine this week taking over from Simon Kers, who left three months ago.

Portnoi has previously worked for Nuts magazine, at the Daily Express and on programmes including Sky Sports News and Soccer Sunday.

Terri White, editor of Shortlist, said: "We had the crop of British publishing talent vying for the deputy editor's position, but it was apparent that Gershon had the passion, drive and talent we were looking for.

"ShortList has won a slew of awards and accolades in its first three years of life, and I know that Gershon will play a massive part in continuing to make ShortList one of the most innovative and relevant magazines in publishing today."
