New executive editor at Condé Nast Traveler

Developmental Editor of Time's Lifestyle Jim Baker to take the reigns at coveted travel magazine

Luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has named Jim Baker as its new executive editor, reports media resource portal Media Bistro.

Baker, who has been the developmental editor for Time's Lifestyle Division for two years, will begin his new assignment on 20 September.

He had previously worked with Condé Nast as deputy editor for its fashion title, Glamour, before becoming deputy editor at women's interest magazine, Real Simple, published by Time.

Baker rose to the post of executive editor of the title before being appointed editorial development director there.

Condé Nast Traveler is the US edition of Condé Nast Traveller in the UK which has seen a 0.6 per cent dip in average circulation in the first half of this year, according to the latest ABC figures.
