London printer loses TV Quick client

19-year-old magazine faces closure after circulation slump.

The London-based printing company Polestar Colchester will no longer print the British television listings magazine TV Quick, Printweek reported on Thursday.

TV Quick's publisher Bauer recently announced the likely closure of the magazine this summer.

The staff at the weekly listings magazine, which has witnessed declining circulation figures, has now entered a 30-day consultation process.

According to the latest ABC figures for July to December 2009, the 19-year-old magazine's circulation slumped 26.7 per cent on the back of previous double-digit declines.

Bauer managing director David Goodchild said the company will issue a statement on the future of the magazine after an internal discussion.
