Dyer says Zoo mag misquoted him

Lads mag dropped Dyer's column after it sparked off a controversy.

English actor Danny Dyer claims he was "misquoted" in the agony uncle column of the Zoo magazine. The actor was quoted as advising a reader to "cut his ex's face, so no one will want her".

Dyer said he would never give such advice to anybody and that he did not condone violence against women, the Sun has reported.

The lads magazine dropped Dyer's column after the answer sparked off a controversy and was slammed by domestic violence activists. A statement on the magazine's website read: "We would like to make it clear that Danny was not misquoted, but that does not excuse the fact his comment appeared in print."

Dyer is reported to have appointed lawyers to fight his case.
