Bahrain to get magazine for visually impaired

The regional quarterly magazine is to be published by the Arab Union for Vision Impairment (AUVI).

The publication in Braille, called Eshraqt Al Etihad, will feature issues such as health, children, home and food as well as news stories that are of interest to people with visual impairment.

Dr Khalid Al Nuaimi, president of the AUVI, said they had chosen Bahrain as the location for publishing the magazine after months of deliberations.
The magazine will be distributed in the entire Gulf region.

According to a report in the Bahrain's Gulf Daily News, the Information and Culture Ministry has agreed to bear the costs of printing the magazine.
