OK is published by the British publishing house Northern & Shell. Since its launch in the US in 2005, it has frequently changed publishers and editors as well as editorial direction. Burgess joined the celebrity gossip magazine about a year and a half ago.
Although OK's total circulation declined over 10 per cent in the first half of 2009, it did better in advertising. The number of advertising pages rose 26 per cent to 320 this year through the 19 April issue, according to the Mediaweek Monitor.
