The official magazine of the US reality talent show American Idol will be launched this week. It will be available on newsstands and in supermarkets starting Friday.

The first of the four "Season 9" issues contains backstage photographs of past and present idols, interviews with former finalists as well as make-up and hair tips from the show's make-up artist, Mezhgan Hussainy.

Hussainy also elaborates on the makeup routine of Adam Lambert, the runner-up on the season eight of American Idol.
