BBC History Magazine launches Spanish edition

The BBC is partnering with Spain's Ediciones Nobel publishing house to launch the Spain edition of t

Priced at €3.90, the BBC Historia will go on sale on 26 March. Ignacio Cabal will edit the magazine, which will print 60,000 copies initially.

Cabal said the magazine will have 60 per cent UK content and 40 per cent Spanish content.

It will publish the best international features from BBC History Magazine written by historians and journalists from the UK.

It will also publish global features written by Spanish and Latin-American historians, professors and writers, which will focus primarily on Hispanic areas.

The launch issue includes features on the Second Spanish Republic, Henry VIII's women and the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun.
