'Glam' in domain name poses a problem for Glam Media
A French social network site Glam One has said it will sue US-based media house Glam Media for trade
By New Statesman Published 18 March 2010Glam Media launched its French operations at glammedia.fr this week.
Glam One said it possesses over 400 "glam" domains and 5 content networks and owns the right to the trademark 'glam'. The social networking site said any unauthorised use of the word 'glam' translates to trademark infringement and could therefore lead to Glam Media's criminal trial.
Glam Media's domain name has reportedly attracted over 2.5 million unique visitors already.
