This will be the third international edition of the magazine since it was launched in the UK in December 2008.

The first edition of the travel magazine from France will go on sale on 3 March. It will have print run of 80,000 and be priced at €4,90. BBC Magazines and the Paperbox are partnering for the publication.

James Hewes, head of international development, BBC Magazines, said this is the first European licence for Lonely Planet Magazine.

Vincent Rea will edit the magazine. Paperbox publishes books and lifestyle magazines.
