About 85 agencies had bid for the five Met Office places. The media house recently started its creative design service. White Light was formed nine years ago as a magazine publishing agency and went on to win contracts with clients such as Scottish Widows, the Scottish Government, the NHS and several universities.
White Light is also the design agency for the Seafish authority and has recently produced design projects for the NHS, the Royal College of Nursing and the University of Strathclyde. A new project for Channel 4 has also been commissioned.
Since May last year, White Light Media has won new magazine projects with Learning and Teaching Scotland, NHS Health Scotland, Exova and the University of Edinburgh. Last week, the media house won the contract to produce the alumni magazine for the University of Sheffield.
