Poetry magazine Free Lunch closes down
Free Lunch: A Poetry Miscellany magazine is closing down this year after running for 21 years. Ron O
The twice-a-year magazine is published in Glenview by the non-profit Free Lunch Arts Alliance based in Illinois.
The magazine is remembered for its editor Offen, a poet who knew how discouraging an unexplained rejection can be. He therefore made it a point to comment on all the submitted poems, even if he did not have space to run it.
Stuart Dybek, David Hernandez, Neal Bowers, Jared Carter and Billy Collins are some of the poets whose works were featured in Free Lunch.
