Italy: unemployment

The graph above charts unemployment rates in Italy from January 1993 to October 2011. As it illustrates, unemployment reached its lowest point throughout this period in April 2007, and peaked between April 1998 and October 1998.
In 2010, the unemployment rate was 8.5 per cent, up from 7.8 per cent in 2009.
