The almost anonymous writer who wrote that UK's NHS is akin to third world health-care provision should stop and think. Constructive critism is one thing, nonsense is another. The UK has a health system, many countries do not. Our expectations alone indicate the error of the writer - we expect to survive and prosper, no matter what ails us. We expect to be rushed, within minutes, to A and E and made well. The NHS is in need of improvement, changes to funding and management as well as accountability and provision. But the debate does not require idiotic rhetoric.
