What should we expect the NHS to provide?

Parents of this topic:
From dental treatment to dermatology, optical vouchers to obstetrics, the services provided by the NHS are vast - and financially draining. To limit those services on offer is to rank their importance - an impossible feat should health be holistic. To force non-mainstream services into the private sector would cause financial hardship for some. But money spent on dentistry could be spent on incubators and emergency departments assured of adequate funding. Does confidence in the NHS depend upon it providing a complete system of health care?
