WikiLeaks dissidents launch rival whistleblower site

A group of WikiLeaks dissidents announced that they will launch Openleaks, a rival whistleblower site that will leak secret documents, on Monday.
Unlike WikiLeaks, Openleaks.org will not publish leaked documents directly online, but will make it available to partner media, former Iceland WikiLeaks member Herbert Snorrason told AFP.
The website will partner with organisations that will have a receiving "drop box" on their sites operated by them, Snorrason said, adding that, "We will not be receiving nor distributing information directly".
By not publishing the documents directly, the new site is reportedly hoping to avoid the criticism that WikiLeaks has received.
In a Swedish television interview, a member of the new site said that the new project will provide services to third parties that will accept material from anonymous sources, AFP added.
