Man behind website threatening British MPs arrested

23-year-old West Midlands man allegedly urged Muslims "to raise the knife of jihad" against MPs thro

The police on Wednesday arrested a 23-year-old West Midlands man for allegedly encouraging terrorism by listing the 395 MPs who favoured the Iraq war and urging Muslims "to raise the knife of jihad" against them through his website.

The site, operated from the US, also gave detailed instructions on how to track an MP and advice on how to attend an MP's one-on-one meetings where a citizen can encounter them in person.

London student Roshonara Choudhry, who got a life term for attacking the London MP Stephen Timms in May, told the police that the website had inspired her to harm the MP.

The website, which described Choudhry as a "heroine" and encouraged others to follow her, was also later forced to remove the MPs list.
