Google publishes free e-guide about browsers and the web

Packaged as children's book, it explains terms such as cloud computing, HTML5 and DNS

Google has released a free online guide to the internet on Monday.

Packaged as an illustrated children's book, the guide titled "20 Things I Learned About Browsers and the Web," written by the Google Chrome team, explains terms such as cloud computing, HTML5 and DNS.

Questions such as What is a cookie, How one can protect myself on the Web?, About Wep Apps and so on have been answered in layman's terms.

"In fact, once you've loaded "20 Things" in the browser, you can disconnect your laptop and continue reading, since this guidebook works offline. As such, this 20-page illustrated guidebook is best experienced in Chrome or any up-to-date, HTML5-compliant modern browser," product marketing manager Min Li Chan wrote in a blog post.

The lesson about the modern browser even recommends that the user upgrade to rival browsers such as Firefox 3.6, Safari 5 and the Internet Explorer 8.
